Why Use Databases?
Although you can access databases using the internet, databases are not internet sites. Databases are subscription services paid for by your school district and/or public library system. Often these resources are full-text articles and may include multimedia features such as images, video and audio files. Databases include academic material that is produced and reviewed by scholars and other experts. Databases provide you with reliable, up-to-date resources you need for doing research, such as:
