The Littleton Public Schools would like to welcome you and your child(ren) to our school system.
The Littleton Public Schools offers Integrated Preschool classrooms for students, ages 3-5 who require special education services, and those who do not. Instruction for all students focuses on a variety of skill areas including language, pre-reading, math, gross motor, fine motor, social and emotional. The curriculum is aligned with the Preschool Massachusetts Frameworks which provides readiness skills for kindergarten.
Registration for new kindergarten students entering school in September 2019 will be held on February 13, 2019.All children who are five years old BEFORE September 1, 2019 are eligible. In order to REGISTER for kindergarten, parents must bring a copy of the child's birth certificate and proof of Littleton residency.
The following Massachusetts Department of Public Health Immunization Requirements are needed before your child can enter kindergarten:
- DTP - Five doses of DTP.
- Polio - Four doses of polio vaccine.
- MMR - Two doses of MMR.
- Hepatitis B - Three doses of Hepatitis B.
- Varicella - Two doses (or physician certified reliable history of chickenpox)
In addition to the above regulations, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health also requires a current physical examination, including history of lead poison screening as well as vision and hearing screening. Please bring a copy of this paperwork with you at the time of registration.
