Tigers' Den Extended Day Program provides high quality, before and after school care in an enriching atmosphere with supervision by a professional, caring staff. Tigers' Den is a non-profit self-supporting program that is administered by the Littleton Public School Department. Tigers' Den sites are located at the Russell Street School and the Shaker Lane School.
Children enrolled in the Littleton Public Schools from Kindergarten through grade five may attend on a space available basis. Tigers' Den doesn't discriminate based on race, color, gender, religion, sexual orientation, national origin or disability.
The program schedule follows the school year calendar of 180 days. Care is not provided on holidays, during school vacations or on days that school is closed unexpectedly due to weather, facility and/or COVID 19 issues.
Tigers' Den is designed to meet the individual needs of its participants by allowing them to the opportunity to schedule their own activities. Many different choices are available each day. Indoor activities may include arts and crafts, games, science projects, computer exploration for free choice from the games and materials available. Outdoors, children may participate in hikes, group games or free choice on the playground. These activities may be offered to small groups of the same age children, or to a more general grouping of diverse ages. As the children advance to higher grade levels, Tigers' Den provides choices that are more age appropriate and satisfying to their expanding interests. Children are supervised at all times by adult staff members.
The before school program is held at the Russell Street School site from 7:00 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. for children from kindergarten through 5th grade. 3rd grade through 5th grade will be dismissed directly to the Russell Street School and Kindergarten through 2nd grade will take the bus to the Shaker Lane School to start their acedemic day.
Tigers' Den has 2 after school sites/locations, Russell Street School and Shaker Lane School. The after school program for Kindergarten through 1st grade is held at the Shaker Lane School and 2nd grade through 5th grade is at the Russell Street School.
2022-2023 School Year
Thank you for your interest in Tigers’ Den registration for the 2022-20223 school year. We look forward to rebuilding our capacity for enrollment in the near future but due to ongoing staffing shortages, we are at capacity for the 2022-2023 school year.
Confirmation of enrollment for our currently enrolled families will be emailed on 4/29/22.
Tigers’ Den does not have openings available for the 2022-2023 school year. If space becomes available due to an increase in staff or a schedule change, we will contact waitlisted families immediately. If you would like to add your name to the waitlist, please click HERE.
Kindergarten through 2nd Graders who will be attending Tigers' Den must obtain a bus pass from the school business office. In the morning your child will be bussed from Russell Street School to Shaker Lane School and the reverse will occur for 2nd Graders in the afternoons.

Monthly Tuition Payments
The online payment system will not allow you to make a payment until your monthly tuition is billed to the account. Accounts are typically billed the day before the 1st of the month. You will receive an error message if you try to make a tuition payment before the 1st of the month.
It is the parents’ responsibility to notify BOTH Tigers’ Den and the teacher/school when your child will be absent from Tigers’ Den on his/her regularly scheduled day. The schools do not report absences or dismissals to us. Be aware that all absences need to be reported by 2:00 p.m. to the site your child attends, and 11:00 a.m. on early release days. If not reported by that time a $10.00 Missing Child Fee will be charged to your account
End of Year Statements
End of year statements for 2020 have been emailed to all families that made payments to Tigers' Den in 2020. If you did not receive one, or need something with more detail, please contact Robin Healy,
