Mandated Health Screenings:
As required by Massachusetts General Law (M.G.L. Chapter 71, Section 57 and 105 CMR 200.000), the school nurse will be providing health screenings to 9th and 10th grade students as detailed below. These health screenings will begin in October. Parents/guardians will be notified if a referral is necessary. The screenings are not diagnostic but do identify children who need further evaluation. *If you would like for your child to opt out of a health screening(s), please notify me in writing at cporell@littletonps.org.
Grade 10: Vision: Distant vision only
Hearing
Height and Weight
Grade 9: Postural: Parents/guardians may also waive the postural (scoliosis) screening at school with a written request and
an up to date physical exam that includes scoliosis screening results.
