School Closure and social distancing reminder

The school building/campus remains closed to all students and staff.

Please keep in mind the social distancing directions from MA Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control.

Teachers are actively discussing and working on the collection, curation, and posting of various grade level/course specific enrichment. Please feel welcome to connect via email or other available tech tools/platforms.

Questions about next steps and moving ahead

With all the troubling virus news and containment efforts in different cities and states throughout the country, we are all wondering if the school closure will be extended beyond April 6th. We are currently planning for return on April 7th and await word on any changes.

In addition, there have been some questions about when LHS will start required online learning tied to specific courses.

LPS teachers and leaders are working closely together and seeking direction/guidance from the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) for activating and facilitating online learning for LHS courses. Littleton is fortunate to have a 1:1 Technology program in grades 6-12; nevertheless, we understand that there are a number of issues to resolve across the state and grade levels with instructional support, equity, and access.

Upon receiving further guidance from DESE and working out some details, we will send notification as soon as possible about the arrangements for online learning.

Message about Breakfast/Lunch Service

As an additional support during the current school closure, Littleton Public Schools is offering food assistance to all students. Meals will be provided for pick-up via drive-through at Littleton High School from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for the next three weeks.

If parents/students are unable to pick up meals at the school, they should call the Superintendent's Office and we will make arrangements to have meals delivered.
