A few helpful hints for you:
- Prepare by gathering all the required documents noted in the Registration Checklist
- Additional informational documents, such as immunization and residency requirements, are also posted as PDF documents on the website.
- Use your cell phone number when registering if this is a more available method of contacting you by phone during the registration process.
- If you need language assistance, please contact the Shaker Lane Elementary School (PK-2), Russell Street Elementary School (3-5),
- Littleton Middle School (6-8) or Littleton High School (9-12) to be connected with the building personnel who can best assist you.

- The registrar at the school will forward the submitted registration information to the building level personnel responsible for completing the enrollment process, including as necessary: Counseling, Special Education, Nutrition Director, Nursing and Student Services.
Important Information
- To register in the Littleton Public Schools, you MUST be a resident of the town of Littleton.
- If your family is new to Littleton and a language in addition to or other than English is spoken in the home, your registration process includes a Home Language Survey. Please complete this form in full, including the language spoken by parents/guardians in the home, and identify if translation or interpretation services are needed. Please visit the district web page for specific forms and contact information.
- If you have moved within Littleton, you must submit residency and occupancy documents for your new address in order to update your student’s residential information as confirmation of continued enrollment.

- PLEASE NOTE: The District adheres to all state and federal guidelines related to students with special circumstances.
- Homeless or Temporary Housing: If your family is experiencing a loss of housing, please contact the Student Services Office at 978-540-2503. The Student Services Office will assist you in understanding the rights of students during a period of homelessness. A staff member from the appropriate school will coordinate a visit with the family to complete necessary paperwork if needed. This will expedite the process of enrollment and provide information on the rights of students to access education and related programs as soon as possible. A list of local resources can be provided at that time.
- If a student is residing in a local shelter, the educational liaison for the shelter assigned to the family will most likely initiate contact with the school district. A school counselor from the appropriate school will coordinate a visit with the family to complete necessary paperwork. This will expedite the process of enrollment and provide information on the rights of students to access education and related programs as soon as possible. A list of local resources can be provided at that time.
- Proof of residency does not apply to homeless students and families covered under the McKinney-Vento Act. All homeless families should contact Littleton Public Schools McKinney-Vento liaison who will work with you to enroll your students. The liaison is the Director of Student Services, and can be reached at 978-540-2503.
- Students in Foster Care: provisions for students in Foster Care are addressed at the building and district level. The district’s foster care liaison is the Director of Student Services, who can be reached at 978-540-2503. In addition, each building has identified staff who are responsible for supporting the registration process and enrollment for students in foster care. You can reach out to the Shaker Lane Elementary School (PK-2), Russell Street Elementary School (3-5), Littleton Middle School (6-8) or Littleton High School (9-12) to be connected with the building-based staff who can assist caregivers in this process.
Additional Information
**Each year, in the early spring, School Committee members consider whether Littleton Public Schools should be in the School Choice Program and accept school choice pupils from other districts during the upcoming school year. Littleton is currently a School Choice District
**The Inclusive Preschool Program and Playgroup are located at the Shaker Lane School. Littleton’s integrated preschool program is provided at a fee for students who meet the eligibility requirements and is open on a space available basis. There are a limited number of spots available in the programs and the playgroup for community peers. Tuition costs have been determined by the Littleton School Committee. Students with E/I referrals and special education eligibility are considered for placement in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
