WANTED!   LHS Parent Volunteers!

The High School PTA has several volunteer opportunities for parents of LHS students. Please take a moment to review this form and consider signing up.

Baking for School Events
Volunteers are needed to bake for various school functions (Welcome Back Teacher Breakfast, End of Year Staff Appreciation Lunch, Principal's Coffee hour, etc).

Office Support
A few departments, the Front Desk, the Library, and the Guidance Office have a need for volunteers. Duties include assisting students and parents by finding various forms, phone coverage, and other miscellaneous duties. Fall is a peak time for help in the Guidance office and early May is a very busy time for creating Diplomas and Year End Awards. This is a very flexible position and we will happily accept any amount of time that you can offer. Training will be provided.

Staff Appreciation Luncheon
Parents are needed to assist in setting up, preparing, serving and cleaning up the annual luncheon (held in early May). This requires a time commitment of 2-3 hours.

Senior Send-off Event
Every May, the Junior Class hosts the “Senior Send-off Event”. The Junior class prepares the food, sets up, serves and cleans up. Parent volunteers are needed in a supportive role. This event’s time commitment can be very flexible, approx 2-3 hours (either mid day/evening, or buying paper goods).

Fund Raising -
Can/Bottle Recycling at Transfer station – We’re looking for help in September (1-2 hour shifts) on Saturdays (day), Tuesdays/Thursdays (evenings). We also need help transporting/processing cans throughout the month. This is also an opportunity for your student to earn Community Service.

Gift Card Program and Holiday Bazaar – the High School PTA will be coordinating a Frequent Buyer Gift card program as well as selling gift cards at the Holiday Bazaar.

High School PTA Representatives –
We are always looking to grow our team of Representatives. This role involves planning meetings, attendance at System wide PTA meetings, and helping to coordinate activities throughout the year. Please consider joining the team, we could have some fun together!
