Summer Reading 2008, 8th Grade |
|
Each student must read: The Outsiders by SE Hinton. Mr. Levine has copies that the students may check out. Each student must also read one of the following: A Day in the life of Ivan Denisovitch by Alexander
Solzhenitzyn
… and one other book of your choosing recommended by a librarian at the Reuben Hoar Library. You must ask the librarians at the Reuben Hoar Library to recommend a book. They’ve got some great suggestions. Students entering the eighth grade will begin their academic year with an examination of The Outsiders. Students will complete a project related to their other summer reading selections in the fall. Projects may include, but are not limited to: artistic representations, classroom presentations, dramatic readings or performances of the work chosen.
