Plot Summary: A group of juvenile delinquents decide to white-water raft down the Grand Canyon in a quest for adventure, freedom, and fun. The rapids grow increasingly more dangerous and their leader fails them. Their very lives become endangered as a suspenseful and absorbing plot unfolds.

Review: The fifteen year old Jessie narrates the story, describing the canyon in such detail that a picture easily forms. The plot is easy to understand and the necessary characters are well developed. However, one character seemed to be very simple-minded and have no depth. This leaves the reader with a slight feeling of disbelief, but the fast-paced plot and detailed descriptions make up for this minor flaw.
