Author: Cooney, Caroline B.

Title: Twins

Plot Summary: Twin sisters, Madrigal and Mary-Lee, are supposingly "best friends", but when Mary-Lee was sent away to boarding school, Madrigal became the popular one. Mary-Lee longs to have her sisters life, and when she has the chance, she is horrified to see what kind of person Madrigal really was.

Review:Cooney uses a lot of metaphors and similies which gives the reader an idea of how she is expressing the characters. Mary-Lee is a brave, bold, sensitive teenager who is heartbroken when her family sends her away to boarding school. I think that the book would have run more smoothly if the auther hadn't repeated herself so often. I felt like I wanted to tell the characters what to do. It was kind of slow reading. ages 10 and up.
