Philosophy
Department Head - Liz Kelley
All students are given the opportunity to become proficient in one or more of the following languages; Latin, French and Spanish. All language classes stress the four skills inherent in language study: reading, writing, listening and speaking. Courses aid students in understanding other cultures and the connection to their own culture. Foreign language study should enrich their lives, open up a wider variety of career choices, and ultimately encourage them to communicate better and contribute more to our multicultural society.
