Kindergarten 2015-2016 Registration

 

 

Registration for new kindergarten students entering school in September, 2015 will be held on February 11, 2015. It will be at the Shaker Lane School from 1:00 - 4:00 or 6:00 - 7:30.

All children who are five years old BEFORE September 1, 2015 are eligible. In order to REGISTER for kindergarten, parents must bring a copy of the child's birth certificate and proof of Littleton residency. The following Massachusetts Department of Public Health Immunization Requirements are needed before your child can enter kindergarten:

  • DTP - Five doses of DTP.
  • Polio - Four doses of polio vaccine.
  • MMR - Two doses of MMR.
  • Hepatitis B - Three doses of Hepatitis B.
  • Varicella - Two doses (or physician certified reliable history of chickenpox)

In addition to the above regulations, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health also requires a current physical examination, including history of lead poison screening as well as vision and hearing screening. Please bring a copy of this paperwork with you at the time of registration.

An appointment for kindergarten screening, to be held March 23, 24 & 25, 2015 at Shaker Lane School will be made at registration.

Full-day Kindergarten, Transitional Class, and Grades 1 & 2:
School begins at 8:50 a.m. Dismissal is at 3:15 p.m. Students should go directly to their classrooms when they arrive at school between 8:35 and 8:50.
 
Half-day Kindergarten:
8:50 - 12:00 noon
 
NOTE: On early dismissal days half-day Kindergarten is dismissed at 12:15 PM.
