Kindergarten Registration 2014-2015

Kindergarten 2014-2015 Registration

 

Registration for new kindergarten students entering school in September, 2014 was held on February 12, 2014. If you missed the registration, please go to the Shaker Lane School.

All children who are five years old BEFORE September 1, 2014 are eligible. In order to REGISTER for kindergarten, parents must bring a copy of the child's birth certificate and proof of Littleton residency. The following Massachusetts Department of Public Health Immunization Requirements are needed before your child can enter kindergarten:

  • DTP - Five doses of DTP.
  • Polio - Four doses of polio vaccine.
  • MMR - Two doses of MMR.
  • Hepatitis B - Three doses of Hepatitis B.
  • Varicella - Two doses (or physician certified reliable history of chickenpox)

In addition to the above regulations, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health also requires a current physical examination, including history of lead poison screening as well as vision and hearing screening. Please bring a copy of this paperwork with you at the time of registration.

An appointment for kindergarten screening, to be held March 24, 25 & 26, 2014 at Shaker Lane School will be made at registration.

9:00 - 11:30 and 12:00 - 2:30
 
Full-day Kindergarten, Transitional Class, and Grades 1 & 2:
School begins at 8:50 a.m. Dismissal is at 3:15 p.m. Students should go directly to their classrooms when they arrive at school between 8:35 and 8:50.
 
Half-day Kindergarten:
8:50 - 12:00 noon
 
NOTE: On early dismissal days half-day Kindergarten is dismissed at 12:15 PM.
